It’s been a very great experience working in China and his family all enjoys it, said Gary Locke, U.S. Ambassador to China, during an online communication with Chinese netizens at the Qiangguo Forum, People’s Daily Online, on the afternoon of April 13, 2012.

People's Daily Online: It’s been eight months since you arrived in Beijing as new U.S. Ambassador to China last August. Because Chinese people like to give their work performance a grade, how many scores you will give to your work in China?

Gary Locke: I don’t know actually I could give a grade. It’s just been an exciting time. Our family here really enjoyed it, discovering Beijing and all over China. It’s been very very busy. Busy for me as ambassador, busy for our children who are involved in three different schools with three different bus schedules and different spring breaks. My wife is very much enjoying it here. Our children all are learning mandarin. Their mandarin is very much better than mine. It’s been a very great experience.
