BEIJING, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Liu Yunshan, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met Wednesday with Ahmet Calik, chairman of the Turkish conglomerate Calik Group.
Calik is on a visit to China, during which his company inked a cooperative framework agreement with China International Publishing Group (CIPG).
Liu, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, said the deal showcased the attention paid by the two sides on cultural exchanges and cooperation, and he hoped the two organizations will build a bridge to facilitate understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
Liu also hailed the state-to-state ties, saying China cherished the traditional friendship with Turkey.
Speaking highly of the progress made by China in recent years, Calik said he was willing to enhance exchanges and cooperation with China's media.
