Turkish Ambassador to China Murat Salim Esenli.

Turkish Ambassador to China Murat Salim Esenli received an interview with China Daily.

1. What are your expectations from H.E. Xi's visit to Turkey?

We are looking forward to Vice-President H.E. Xi Jinping's visit to Turkey. It will be a historic milestone in our relations. I have no doubt that this visit will consolidate our relations, which have registered substantial progress in every field imaginable since 2009. As two developing nations with quite enviable economic performance, we have similar approaches to many of the issues of common concern, both in the G-20 and the UN forums.
