HEFEI, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- East China's Anhui province will seek cooperation with three west Canada provinces in a variety of areas, including agriculture, education and mineral resources, the provincial foreign affairs office said Friday.

Two representatives from Canada spoke with the directors of relevant departments of the Anhui provincial government on Thursday regarding future cooperation, although details of the plans have yet to be released, the office said.

The Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan represent the country's largest free trade market, with a total GDP of more than 550 billion Canadian dollars (552 billion U.S. dollars).
