08:57, February 16, 2012

BEIJING, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Assistant Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu will lead the Chinese delegation to attend the G20 informal foreign ministers meeting held in Los Cabos, Mexico from Feb. 19 to 20, Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin said Wednesday at a regular press briefing.

Liu said China has consistently supported the G20's role in global economic governance and expects G20 member states to continue their "partnership of cooperation" at this year's G20 summit.

"China hopes the G20 will increase its input regarding the global economy, finance, trade and development to promote the robust, sustainable and balanced growth of the world economy. China expects the informal foreign ministers meeting and other preliminary mechanisms of the G20 to help achieve this goal," he said

G20 members and 11 non-members have been invited to the meeting, including Benin, representing the African Union; Cambodia, representing the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and Chile, representing the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
