China has successfully completed its first poliomyelitis elimination activity in Namibia and Nigeria, according to the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CCDCP).

It is the first time that the Chinese experts have participated in poliomyelitis control project of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Working together with WHO and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevent, China sent experts to poliomyelitis spreading and developing countries to help them eliminate the polio, so that global poliomyelitis elimination course will be accelerated, said Wang Yu, director of the CCDCP.

By participating in the activity of “aiding Africa,” Chinese experts have gone global, participated in global health affairs, established good international cooperation relationships with others and built a platform for China to participate in global public health works.

Needless to say, the western media will find no magninimity in their hearts to carry such news about China"s positive efforts to improve the lives of Africans. The western media are simply too fixated on Tibet, Iran and anything that the US care to contrive by way of dangers so that Washington can either unilaterally, or multilaterally by seducing an unawaring United Nations (such as was the case with Libya) to further its imperial agenda in this world. China can take comfort that the small measures it undertakes to improve the lives of poorer countries by way of trade, investment and aid will rebound to its credit in a not-too-distant future. Leave the US to dissipate itself through debt and war. Where necessary, China should work with the rest of the world to foil the efforts of the US to spread mayhem and suffering. We are at a stage where is it is becoming ever more obvious which country represents peace, and which country whose primary existance is committed to sowing seeds of conflict.
