Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi visits Africa

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi has arrived at Cote d’Ivoire, on the first stop of a six-day tour of three African countries. He will later head to Niger and Namibia.

China has reiterated its support for the reconstruction and socio-economic development of the West African country. It provided two-million euros in aid for the agricultural industry in the country last year, along with a malaria research center.
