China says Russian Duma election result reflects people's will

BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- China believes that the result of the Russian Duma election is a reflection of the will of the Russian people, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Friday.

China respects the choice of the Russian people, and it supports Russia in proceeding along the path in keeping with its own national conditions, Spokesman Hong Lei said at a daily press briefing,

About 700 international observers followed the election and they generally affirmed the election result, Hong said.

The Russian Parliamentary election was held on Sunday, and the United Russia party won by a landslide.

However, the election results have been questioned by some countries. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suggested Russia's elections were "neither free nor fair".

No matter how well you govern there will be pockets of people who get up from the wrong side of the bed or who had enjoyed the meal and had an upset stomach and start to blame others for the meal they had consumed. There are millions of Russians and some 25000 or so complained......Leave it to them. Russian water will find its own level. If Hillary Clinton is good, set her own house in order first. Do not keep picking on specks in others" faces while keep on ignoring the beans growing on her own.

only Russians themselves can make the judgement whether the election is not rigged and no outsider can rush to judgement without much proof and in such a haste.

We need to understand that democracy is an attitude and not a system of government. Democracy is what Islam teaches us in Haqooq ul Ibad enforced by Sharia law where everybody follows a set of rights and responsibilities. USA or Catholic church want Asian and African countries to follow Parliamentary democracy like UK and fail. UK is drowning in Catholic Europe. If this democracy really meant anything then USA would never support it, because that would lead to the freedom of Palestinians.

Is the new Russia impotent in balancing power politics and their outcome? Now it is Syria! The once Russian bear has become less then a cub.
