HARBIN, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- A wintery storm has blanketed snow over the northeastern province of Heilongjiang, halting coach services between the provincial capital of Harbin and Russia's Vladivostok.

Harbin's main bus station confirmed Thursday that the international coach service route would remain closed till Saturday as snow was continuing to fall.

The China Central Meteorological Station reported Thursday morning that in some areas of China's northeast snow was 21 cm deep. The snowy weather is likely to persist over the next three days.
