WINDHOEK, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- The head of a Chinese delegation currently visiting Namibia has said China will never change its foreign policy for Africa and, in particular, for Namibia.

Liu Guchang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, is leading the six-member delegation on their mission to further promote the good relationship between the two countries.

This policy will never change, unless to make positive changes to strengthen it, said Liu while paying a courtesy call on Chairperson of Namibia's National Council Standing Committee on Security and Legal Affairs Henock Kankoshi.

Sincerity, equality and mutual benefit, solidarity and common development are the principles guiding the China-Africa exchange and cooperation and the driving force behind lasting China-Africa relations, he told reporters.

The delegation also paid a courtesy call on National Council Chairman Asser Kapere.

The Chinese delegation, which arrived here on Wednesday, departs on Saturday.

China"s help has always been sincere and beneficial. Back in 50s when China was poor and when the land-locked African countries asked for railway assistance Premer Zhou had to scrimp and help the needy African friends who had come to him. These days, China goes for win-win investments but their sincerity has not diminished. USA is now trying to make inroad into Africa with some high profile visits to the continent.Hope Africans will see the true face of their visitors minus the mask.

China must never let the West dictate its foreign policy in Africa. Doing so will lose you a lot of goodwill among the Africans. Always remeber that the arrogance and claim to African ownership by the West is nothing but grandstanding. After the debacle in Libya I am sure that socalled African leaders are having a rethink of their engagement with the West and its warmongering postrue. The West has absolunothing to offer Africa but an insatiable appetite for African raw materials. That is what this grandstanding is all about.
