Beijing, Nov.15 (People's Daily Online) -- At the daily briefing in Beijing on Monday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin expressed China’s support for the efforts of the EU, eurozone and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in dealing with the ongoing sovereign debt crisis.

Liu made the comment in response to a question regarding China's opinion of the nomination of new government administrations in Greece and Italy.

"We have noticed relevant media reports," said Liu, stating that the changing governments in Greece and Italy are considered to be part of the internal affairs of both countries.

Liu said he hopes relevant countries, as well as the EU as a whole, will overcome their current difficulties and promote economic recovery and growth as soon as possible.
