SEOUL, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang arrived here Wednesday for an official visit to South Korea.
In a statement released upon his arrival at the airport, Li said that with concerted efforts from both sides, the overall cooperation has been launched in various sectors between the two countries.
Such cooperation has brought real benefits to the peoples of China and South Korea in the past nearly two decades and made positive contribution to regional peace, stability and development, he added.
He said China and South Korea are close neighbors across the sea and the two peoples have a long history of friendship.
Li said safeguarding peace in the region and on the Korean Peninsula serves the common interests of all parties concerned
He further noted China is willing to make concerted efforts with all parties concerned, including South Korea, to promote dialogues, work for reactivation of the stalled six-party talks, promote the de-nuclearization process on the peninsula, and safeguard peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
