Chinese vice president hosts welcome ceremony for U.S. counterpart Biden

BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping hosted a red-carpet welcome ceremony for his visiting U.S. counterpart Joe Biden on Thursday morning at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

This is Biden's third visit to China since 1979.
