SHANGHAI, March 27 (Xinhua) -- A knife-wielding man killed two people and injured eleven in Shanghai Wednesday afternoon, local police said.
The 11 injured include six children, the municipal public security bureau said.
The suspect, surnamed Zang, killed two of his female relatives over a family dispute in a residential building in Fengxian District before attacking several passersby near the building, according to an initial police investigation.
Zang was later caught by witnesses. He came to Shanghai on Tuesday from neighboring Jiangsu Province, according to the police.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
