Healthcare for experts

(Global Times)

10:25, December 03, 2012

Chinese authorities are to introduce a premium health care package for experts working in important fields, according to a circular made public by the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee on Sunday.

Full consideration of the health of experts working on the front lines of the country's sectors is critical to national security and a lifeline of the national economy, including defense and high-tech industries, it said, adding that this will help them better serve the country.

The circular follows the death on November 25 of Luo Yang, head of the production phase of China's J-15 fighter jet.
