Upsurge of giving birth in US should cool down

(People's Daily Online)

When you see such advertisements as "Give me 100,000 yuan, I will help you have an American baby worth 9.8 million yuan in return" and "Giving birth to a child in the United States, the rate of return on investment is higher than robbing a bank," do not have to be surprised because more and more people are willing to respond to these advertisements, the report of finance and economics of China Business Radio said.

In 2007, about 600 people from Chinese mainland gave birth to their children in the United States; in 2010, the figure soared to 5,000 and in the first half of 2012, the figure surpassed 5,000.

It is undeniable that the level of development of the U.S. economy and society is indeed attractive, but only Chinese elites have the ability to give their babies an U.S. green card, which is only a fantasy to the ordinary people. Therefore, it should be a priority to cool down the upsurge of giving birth to an American baby.

Analysts pointed out that it is a real temptation that any children born in the United States have the American nationality in accordance with the United States Constitution, which lured more and more people to go to the United States to have a child at all costs.

There are many factors causing the number of people giving birth to a baby in the United States increasing by 10 times within five years. Among them, the pursuing of fame and fortune and lack of a faith are the main reasons.

The pursuit of fame and fortune will make people crazy. In addition, the specific educational point of view in China is to give their children a better life whatever their living conditions, which is understandable.

However, most people giving birth to a baby in foreign countries are social elites and belong to the group with strong competitiveness. This is a group of human and economic wealth that a country should pay attention to.

Lacking a faith is very terrible. A nation and even a country should not abandon its faith, otherwise it will lose itself. Faith is a spiritual pillar and can constrain and standardize people's words and deeds. Chinese people lacking a faith will be like innocent children and the consequence will be horrific if letting them develop willfully.

A nation without a faith is bound to fall behind the times and excessive pursuit of fame and fortune will make one feel lost.
