Twins alleged for killing 6 detained

HARBIN, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- A pair of twin brothers have been detained, alleged for killing a family of six in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, local police confirmed Tuesday.

The brothers, both under 18 years old, are suspected of killing the six of three generations, including a six-year-old child, in a Longjiang County village in Qiqihar, the police said.

They were captured on Sunday and Monday, after the bodies of the victims were found on Oct. 6 by the family's fellow villagers.

Motives for the killing were not yet known. An investigation is under way.
