A "drowned" woman who floated on river for forty minutes came back to life after rescued by police in east China's Zhejiang province.
On Aug. 12, locals in Wenling, Zhejiang province saw a young woman floating on a river. The woman was floating with her eyes closed, hands draped over his stomach. As policemen jumped into the water and were ready to bring her ashore, they found she had body temperature and was still alive.
The woman surnamed Zhang ate more than 20 pieces of cold medicine because she was angry with her husband and then went out alone.
Ms. Zhang still cannot remember how she came to the river. "I just remember being choked a bit in the water, and then fell asleep." She also felt strange that she cannot swim, but she was sleeping in the river for 40 minutes.
Police said "The factors that affect the body's buoyancy is very complex, such as fat thickness, vital capacity, shoes and clothes one wears and so on. Wearing foam shoes will inevitably increase the buoyancy, the gas-tight clothes are more buoyant. "
