Aji cookies, red wine products fail to meet health standards

The unqualified products are not sold in the domestic market of China

Recently, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (GAQSIQ) issued the information of unqualified food and cosmetic products exported to China in May.

Of the 157 batches of unqualified food and cosmetic products released this time, the cookie products imported from Taiwan Province and the red wine products imported from new world wine production regions have especially severe problems.

Of the cookie products imported from Taiwan Province, 10 batches have problems. Of them, the Aji lemon-flavor cookies and orange-flavor sandwich cookies of three batches had the problem of the lemon yellow content exceeding the standard.

A total of 13 batches red wine products imported such countries as Spain, Italy, the United States and Chile had problems. Especially, five batches of red wine products imported from new world wine production regions, such as the United States, Chile and Argentina, had problems and their main problem was that the copper content exceeded the standard.

The GAQSIQ said that all these food and cosmetic products with problems have been returned or destroyed and the unqualified products are not sold in China.

Twenty-two batches of food products imported from Taiwan were unqualified.
