Flood leaves 3 dead, 1 missing in NW China

LANZHOU, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Three villagers were killed and one was missing in a rainstorm-triggered flood on Sunday in Yongdeng county, in northwest China's Gansu province, local authorities said Monday.

On Sunday evening, four residents of Panggou village in Yongdeng were swept away by the flood caused by torrential rain from Saturday to Sunday, a county government spokesman said.

As of Monday afternoon, rescuers were still searching for the missing villager.
