Deng Guifang, a retired school headmaster now in Beijing helping his daughter take care of a new-born baby, was shocked Sunday when he received a phone call from his sister back in his hometown, Chenzhou, Hunan Province.
"Where the hell is our father's tomb?" His sister shouted on the phone, panting. "We've been looking around the hill for all morning, but cannot find it! What happened?"
Since the older Deng passed away 45 years ago in an accident, the Deng family has been visiting the tomb every year ahead of Qingming Festival, or Tomb-sweeping Festival.
"I'm so familiar with the place that I can find it even with my eyes closed," Deng said.
