Beijing receives more foreign tourists in February

BEIJING, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Beijing received 262,000 foreign tourists in February, a 30 percent year-on-year increase, according to survey results released on Monday.

Beijing's tourist market boomed in February, with the city attracting large numbers of both foreign and domestic tourists, according to the results of a joint survey conducted by the Beijing Municipal Statistics Bureau and the Beijing Survey Organization under the National Bureau of Statistics.

The United States, Japan and the Republic of Korea were the largest sources of tourists in February, accounting for nearly 36 percent of the city's foreign visitors that month.
