China establishes 'digital ocean' information framework

China has completed the main tasks in a comprehensive offshore oceanic survey and established a "digital ocean" information framework, according to Oceanic Administration on Feb. 28.

This project, code-named 908, includes an offshore oceanic survey and evaluation and the establishment a digital ocean information framework. A total of 295 missions in the project have been fulfilled and a large number of research achievements have been put into practical use.

This project is scheduled to be finished in the first half of the year.
