SHENYANG, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- No casualties have been reported after a fire at a construction site near an airport terminal in northeast China's Liaoning province at around noon on Tuesday, airport authorities said.

The fire, which broke out at an overpass under construction near the No. 2 Terminal at Taoxian Airport in the provincial capital of Shenyang at 11:50 a.m., was put out within an hour, said a spokesman for the airport.

Nets and cloths that covered the construction site caught fire, bringing about heavy smoke, said the spokesman.

Flight takeoffs and landings were not affected.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
