The new director of the Palace Museum Shan Jixiang recently said that the Palace Museum is now formulating new administrative approaches to regulate full and timely information disclosure at institutional level.
Shan has pledged to create favorable conditions to take the initiative to enhance the transparency and openness of the Palace Museum’s operation, at his very first public appearance on Feb. 14.
He said that “Social supervision is the external conditions for the healthy development of the Palace Museum work. Previous well-established approaches should be followed and continued, like inviting associated social experts to participate in a variety of demonstration and evaluation, making regular information disclosure via media, official website and official microblog, and publishing Annals of the Palace Museum, etc.”
Shan added that institutional constraints are still needed. “We are formulating new administrative approaches to guarantee a full and timely information disclosure to make the information more extensive and time-sensitive,” he said.
