Shanghai has 2nd highest divorce rate in China

A total of 38,000 couples divorced in Shanghai in 2011, making the divorce rate in the city increase 4 percent year-on-year to surpass 35 percent.

Shanghai now has the second highest divorce rate in China, according to the statistics of 2011 marriage registration released by Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs recently.
