Chinese railway police has captured 375 criminals at large at the beginning of 2012 thanks to the real-name system introduced in buying train tickets during the Spring Festival.

The 375 criminals, including a dozen fugitive criminals committing murder, robbery and other felonies, accounting for 56 percent of all criminals caught in 2012.

The railway police in Guangzhou have arrested 107 fugitives via the real-name train ticket purchase system, or 71.8 percent of all criminals they captured.

In order to crackdown on fleeing crimes, Chinese railway police make every effort, such as deploying more forces, expanding message sources, strengthening information analysis, enhancing video monitoring as well as implementing real name ticket and identity check. The measures have contributed to the improvement of the railway public security.
