CASS ranks first among Asian think tanks

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) ranks first among the top-30 Asian think tanks and 25th among the top-30 think tanks worldwide, according to the 2011 Global Go-To Think Tank Rankings Report released on Jan. 18.

The U.S.-based Brookings Institution ranks first worldwide.

The University of Pennsylvania's Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) released the report at the United Nations Headquarters.

The TTCSP released the first annual global go-to think tank rankings report in 2007.
