According to an environmental assessment report, China's environmental information transparency system has been preliminarily established.
On Jan. 16, the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE), U.S. Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and the website of green.news.qq.com jointly published the third annual assessment report of the “pollution source management information transparency of 113 cities.”
Ma Jun, director of the IPE believes that the cities that meet the requirements of publicizing the pollution information have increased from four to nineteen, which indicates that the innovative environmental information transparency system has been preliminary established in China.
