Fire threatens to blow up gas station in central China

WUHAN, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Two oil tank trucks carrying 20 tons of petrolieum caught fire in central China on Monday night, prompting dozens of firemen to rush to the scene to prevent explosions.

Fire first broke out in a cargo truck and spread to the two tank trucks parked inside a gas station in the city of Macheng, Hubei province, at about 9 p.m., according to local fire department.

More than 50 firemen and 13 fire engines were dispatched to the scene.
