Real-name ticket purchasing system introduced at Dalian frontier inspection

16:08, December 22, 2011

Dong Yanjun (1st R), a staff member working at Dalian frontier inspection, introduces the real-name ticket purchasing system to a traveller who just entered China's border in Dalian of northeast China's Liaoning Province, Dec. 21, 2011. China will deploys its real-name system on Dec. 22, 2011 to curb train-ticket scalping at holiday season. The real-name system, to be applied in at least 29 train stations in and around Beijing and Shanghai from January 2012, is meant to crack down on rampant ticket scalping that typically booms during the holiday travel rush, railway officials said Wednesday.
