Tibet embraces Butter-lamp Festival

The butter-lamps burn in the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, Dec. 20, 2011. Tibet on Tuesday embraced its annual Butter-lamp Festival, which falls on the 25th day of the 10th month of the Tibetan calendar every year in commemoration of Tsong Khapa, the founder of the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
