Shichahai on thin ice

(Global Times)

08:34, December 09, 2011

The skating rink at Shichahai will probably not open until New Year's Day as this year's winter arrived late, the Legal Mirror reported on Thursday.

The skating rink opens only when the ice is minimum 15-centimeters thick, a Shichahai employee said, and suggested residents to keep their distance from the water as the ice is not thick enough. Skating costs 10 yuan ($1.57) per person on weekdays and 15 yuan on weekends.
