CCTV monitors govt office

Xicheng district government will install 131 surveillance cameras in the administrative service center to monitor the working attitude of government employees, the Beijing Times reported on Monday.

Government employees' working attitude, efficiency, and whether they play video games during work hours will be monitored. A Xicheng government official said it will be used as evidence to punish any unprofessional behavior.

Excellent move. Public servants are there to serve the Chinese people diligently. They are not paid to indulge their fancies at the expense of public funds.Reining this will go a long way to upgrade the public services.
