Beijing West Railway Station's voluntary fire brigades carry out firefighting and rescue exercises on Nov 8, one day before the nation's 21st Fire Prevention Day. The station started the "119" Fire Safety Publicity Week campaign with a slogan: "Fire prevention should involve all people and life tops all." Firefighters and station staff are working together to raise fire prevention awareness for passengers through drills, demonstration of rescue equipment and distribution of safety pamphlets.
