Possible oil contamination found on beach in Qingdao

(People's Daily Online)

15:20, September 05, 2011

On Sept. 4, 2011, a massive amount of black objects washed up on a bathing beach in Qingdao, Shandong province, turning the golden beach black. The citizens who came to swim had to cancel their plans because they were afraid that these unknown black objects were caused by oil spills in the Bohai Sea. Currently, a sample of the black objects was collected for laboratory tests. (CFP/Lan Yi)
