VIENNA, March 5 -- Reza Najafi, Iranian envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), emphasized on Wednesday fears over possible military dimensions of Iran's nuclear program were baseless.

He said Tehran would work with the UN nuclear agency to remove any ambiguity.

He told reporters he could not predict a timeline to resolve suspected military dimensions of Iran's nuclear plans.

"We go step by step, so I can't predict any timeline on that. We started from easier issues and we are going to continue to more complicated issues," Najafi noted during the board meeting of IAEA.

In the meeting, the U.S. urged Iran to address all ambiguities surrounding its nuclear plan without delay to ensure the peaceful nature of the program.

Iran and the IAEA have been working since last November to ensure the nuclear program is exclusively peaceful.

IAEA confirmed that Iran has implemented many measures under the November deal, calling them "positive and constructive."

Some western states suspect Iran might develop nuclear weapons under the cover of its civilian nuclear energy program, while Iran says its plans are peaceful.
