LANZHOU, January 15 (ChinaMil) -- Fan Changlong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the CPC, recently made an investigation tour in the troop units under the Lanzhou Theater of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

Ma Xiaotian, commander of the Air Force of the PLA, and Wei Fenghe, commander of the Second Artillery Force (SAF) of the PLA, participated in the investigation tour in the troop units of the Air Force and the SAF respectively.

During the tour, Fan Changlong went deep into the training ranges to inspect the individual soldier equipment operation training, information system operation and training, and emergency response and rescue drill. Through video systems, he inspected the duty performance of the frontier defense units and the sentries of the Chinese People’s Armed Police Force (APF), dined with the grass-roots officers and men, and held cordial talks with them.

Fan Changlong also held seminars to listen to suggestions made by officers and men.

Yi Xiaoguang, assistant to the chief of general staff, Jia Ting'an, deputy director of the General Political Department (GPD), Liu Yuejun, commander of the Lanzhou Military Area Command (MAC), Li Changcai, political commissar of the Lanzhou MAC, as well as leaders from the General Office of the CMC accompanied Fan Changlong in the tour.
