The Chinese naval taskforce to participate in the China-Russia "Joint Sea-2013" joint naval drill conducted confrontation training in complex electromagnetic environment in a sea area of the Sea of Japan on July 3, 2013.
The taskforce encountered heavy fog and adverse sea conditions on the way after they left the naval port in east China's coastal city of Qingdao July 1, 2013 for Russia to participate in the China-Russia joint drills, so they conducted this confrontation training in the complex environment to consolidate their pre-training effect and improve the overall level of training.
The naval taskforce will participate in the China-Russia joint naval drill in Peter the Great Bay and Sea of Japan from July 5 to July 12. And the Chinese Navy's main warships are from the North Sea Fleet and the South Sea Fleet of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLAN).
The ships are the Shenyang, Shijiazhuang, Wuhan and Lanzhou guided missile destroyers, the Yancheng and Yantai guided missile frigates, as well as the Hongze Lake comprehensive supply ship. Three new type of ship-borne helicopters and a special operation detachment will also participate in the joint naval drills.
