The picture shows Cui Yongbiao, a mine clearer of the 10th Chinese peacekeeping engineer battalion to Lebanon, is removing an anti-tank mine. The "Blue Line" minefield along the border between Lebanon and Israel, known as a "miniature landmine museum", is one of the areas that have the most types and quantities of landmines and have the greatest difficulty in mine clearance. The Chinese engineer battalion has cleared a total of 10,000-odd landmines and unexploded bombs since 2006. (Photo by Li Qiang)

In the past 20 years, China has been proactive in supporting and participating in international humanitarian demining operations and has provided assistance to 30-odd developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America to help these mine-affected countries get rid of the trouble caused by war-left explosives as soon as possible.
