The 3rd National College-student Photo-electricity Design Contest came to a close in mid-August in Fuzhou, capital city of east China's Fujian Province. As the only participating military school of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) won one first prize, two second prizes and the award of outstanding organization.

According to a briefing, the NUDT has national key academic subjects of photo-electricity engineering. In recent years, the NUDT has built a group of photo-electricity subjects supported by photo-electricity engineering, a photo-electricity innovation base for undergraduates and a photo-electricity comprehensive experiment center for graduates, effectively enhancing the innovation and practice ability of the students in the field of photo-electricity.
