Chinese Naval International Cadet's Week unveiled in Dalian

The 2nd Chinese Naval International Cadet's Week with the theme of promoting understanding, learning from each other, enhancing friendly cooperation and jointly creating a better future was unveiled on June 25, 2012 at the Dalian Naval Academy (DNA) of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

A total of 18 naval cadets from 9 countries, namely Australia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, the Republic of Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States, will learn, live and receive training together with the cadets from the DNA within this week.

This is the second activity of such kind held by the DNA of the Chinese PLA Navy after the previous one held in June 2009.

According to Li Jianjun, political commissar of the DNA, during this International Cadet's Week, the 18 foreign naval cadets will mix with the 34 cadets from the DNA to form a simulated cadet team to implement the self-management, attend lectures in the same class and jointly conduct the training on subjects including manipulation of sailing boat, sampan, boat and ship, as well as military physical fitness.
