In the latter part of November, Liaoning Province started using unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor its sea areas and islands. By Nov. 28, it had finished monitoring certain islands and sea areas of Dalian, Jinzhou and Panjin. It was the first time that a coastal province of China has used unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor sea areas.

The reporter learned that the province will fully monitor more than 150,000 square kilometers of sea areas and 506 islands along its coast by aerial photography in the future.
