BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- China and Montenegro on Thursday pledged to deepen potential cooperation between their military forces.

The pledge was made during the talks between Defense Minister Liang Guanglie and Montenegro's Defense Minister Boro Vucinic.

Liang hailed the healthy development of bilateral relations since China and Montenegro established diplomatic relations in 2006, saying the two countries enjoy cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, business and trade.

"China is willing to enhance coordination with Montenegro at all levels to advance bilateral and military relations," Liang said.

Liang said both sides obtained some positive results in group visits and personnel training.

Vucinic said Montenegro's government and military attached great importance to developing relationships with China. He reiterated that Montenegro will stick to the one-China policy and appreciates China's support for Montenegro's military development.
