The first batch of women cadets from the Dalian Naval Academy majoring in warship command visited Russia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with a visiting training ship formation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy and completed their oceangoing practice.
They started the voyage from a military port in Lvshun of northeastern China's Liaoning province on July 25, 2011. The 13 women cadets were trained on subjects related to marine hydrometeorology and navigation instruments and served as probationary officers on shift duty. The 13 cadets will be China's first batch of warship commanders after graduation.
