VLADIVOSTOK, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Top Chinese legislator Wu Bangguo arrived in Vladivostok on Sunday to attend the 21st annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum.

The APPF, the most influential inter-parliamentary organization in the Asia-Pacific region, is also one of the most important multilateral parliamentary bodies in which China's National People's Congress (NPC) participates.

This year, legislators from the member states will discuss regional security, economics and trade, and regional integration. That's to help promote regional peace and stability and facilitate win-win cooperation in the Asia-Pacific area.

Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, will deliver a keynote speech during the meeting. He will elaborate on China's principles and propositions concerning major issues involving peace and development in the Asia-Pacific region as well as his country's domestic and foreign policies.

Wu will also hold bilateral meetings with top parliamentarians from other participating countries and exchange views with them on issues of common concern.

The top Chinese legislator was invited by Valentina Matviyenko, chairwoman of Russia's Federation Council.

After the AFFP meeting, Wu will pay an official goodwill visit to Mongolia at the invitation of Zandaakhuu Enkhbold, chairman of the State Great Hural.
