Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China (中华人民共和国科学技术部)

Introduction
The Ministry of Science and Technology, formerly State Science and Technology Commission, is a ministry of the government of the People's Republic of China which coordinates science and technology activities in the country. It succeeded the State Science and Technology Commission in 1998.

The ministry is responsible for taking the lead in drawing up S&T development plans and policies, drafting related laws, regulations and department rules, guaranteeing the implementation and so on.
中华人民共和国科学技术部是国务院主管国家科学技术工作的部门, 其前身是国家科学技术委员会。1998年国家科学技术委员会更名为中华人民共和国科学技术部。

 

 


科学技术部的主要职责为研究提出科技发展的宏观战略和科技促进经济社会发展的方针、政策、法规;研究科技促进经济社会发展的重大问题等。
