Senior official stresses Party inspection

11:01, July 07, 2012

BEIJING, July 6 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) must enhance inspection work in various fields so to discover and resolve outstanding problems and strengthen supervision, a senior Party official said on Friday.

One of the major tasks of the inspection work is to ensure the implementation of CPC disciplines, said He Guoqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, at a national symposium.

Major inspection targets are top leaders of Party committees and governments at various levels, He said, adding that efforts must be made to discover and help resolve outstanding problems during inspections.

The CPC's inspection system requires inspection bodies of various levels to supervise officials of lower levels, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council is responsible for inspecting and supervising state-owned enterprises.
