BEIJING, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping on Saturday attended a launch ceremony for the opening of Communist Party member website, TV program and cell phone newspaper.

Xi, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said that the website should be accessible to Party members wherever they are to strengthen their identities.

The Communist Party member TV program should make itself popular among Party members across the country, Xi said, adding that the cell phone newspaper should have the function to mobilize the Party members.

Through cooperation with the China Central Television, east Shandong Province and the People's Daily, the CPC Central Committee's Organization Department was in charge of the operation of the three new media.

Xi urged Party members to use the new media to exchange and learn more about the Party and the country so as to better serve the people.
