Ji Bingxuan elected Party chief of NE China province

Ji Bingxuan was elected secretary of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on April 24, 2012.

The election was held at the first plenary session of the 11th CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee.

Ji served as the deputy chief of the CPC Central Committee's Publicity Department for seven years before being appointed by the CPC Central Committee as the Communist Party chief of Heilongjiang in April 2008.

Born in 1951 in Mengjin, Henan province, Ji is a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
